Family Sundays
I can remember growing up at my folks' place, how Sundays were filled with houses chores, homework, and some t.v. time. But one thing for certain, Sundays evening was always a formal dinner with the immediate family. A time to sit and joke, chat about whatever, and enjoy one anothers company. With a young family, this isn't as easy to do. But with a little forward thinking we've made Sundays all about family. If we're not visiting my in-laws for dinner, then we have a fun, relaxed dinner at home. Or today, we had a nice breakfast out at the local Ma and Pa restaurant. We also got together with family and friends to celebrate a baby shower and my mom's birthday. How fortunate we are to have so many great friends and family! Enjoy your Sundays, and surround yourself with those you love!

Felt Frenzy and Baking Bread
So it's a fun and busy week! I think creativity runs thick in our family's blood! My cousin is holding a princess themed birthday party and has asked all guests to come appropriately dressed as princes and princesses. So I had a little fun with some felt, buttons and a glue gun. I found all the felt I needed, buttons and a blanket for the "robe" from the Dollar Store, and bought some fringe for the "robe" to embellish from Fabricland. All for under $20! Take a look!
On top of that I liked the recommendation posted on the Sarah Richardson website on trying the book My Bread by Jim Lahey. I have now baked two loaves this week, and it is tasty! Try it out!

Toddler Art Activities
As the Winter draaaaaags on, I'm trying to find new ideas to keep my little man occupied. I came across this art activity http://www.toddlertoddler.com/todays_zippy_sponge_painting.htm, which I can't wait to try! Stay tuned for the final results and pics!
I also found a great Valentine Idea from http://iammommahearmeroar.blogspot.com/2011/01/valentines-from-rex.html for making a personal Valentine treat bag! I've done the photo stuff, now onto making the treat bags. Thanks to this site for the idea! I'll post pictures once the project is complete.
